Mixed Up Mondays: Seedlings :)

One of our family hobbies is gardening. We always wanted to have a farm, but living in the city makes that a little difficult. ;) So the closest thing to having a farm, is planting a garden! Last year we decided to start our own seedlings. We planted vegetables and flowers in tin cans, and used them for planters. We drilled holes in the bottom of the cans so that the water could drain out. It worked so well last year that we are doing it again this year! Here are some pictures of what we did.

It was so much fun starting our new garden together. Theres nothing like the smell of fresh soil and getting your hands dirty!  We planted all kinds of flowers, vegetables and herbs. Later this year we will plant tomatoes, watermelon, green beans, and so much more! We will give you an update on our seedlings in a few weeks.

  2. Hey guys! We haven't planted anything in our garden yet. We're going to use the wood chip method, but first we have to get the wood chips. We have out plants, though, and they're ready to plant, just as soon as we get the wood chips.
