Helllooooo!
Well, these past few months (years really), have been a HUGE teaching experience for our family in the area of trust and patience. They were not easy things to learn, and we're still learning, but boy, I am eternally grateful for the things that He has shown us. I'll try and expand on that later.
Part of that learning process was when Abba asked us to move. Not just any move, but He wants us to move to a farm, build our own houses, and be self sustainable. Crazy, right? But INCREDIBLE!
In so many ways this was an impossible situation. Questions like, "How are we going to sell our house?" or "Where are we going to live?" and "What on earth is life going to look like?", and "Will we be able to meet all the demands?", were constantly going through our mind, along with many other questions. This had been our family's dream ever since I can remember, and honestly, I thought it waaay too far out of reach.
Well, long story short Abba proved Himself faithful once again as He overcame all of our 'obstacles,' and yes, we are now officially moving and are excited about the adventure that lies ahead of us!
We know its not going to be easy.... It's going to be very hard. But if obedience were always easy, how could we truly express our love for the Father?
Please, please, please continue to pray as we embark on this journey. We will need the back up support. There are still many more miracles waiting to take place, and many more obstacles to overcome. Thank you!
Blessings,
Sophie

Job 37
So, last year at wintertime, I decided to look for bible verses about snow to put on my dry erase board in my sister and my bedroom, just to go along with the season's beauties and all :). So, I searched 'bible verses about snow' and to my delight, Job 37 was brought to light.
I kind of forgot about it, since its been a while since I refreshed our dry erase board, however, Hannah brought it back to my attention last night... It has definitely become an ABSOLUTE FAVORITE.
I encourage all of you to read Job 37. Its all about God's power and might... for me, it really brought a small definition to what it means when it says to boast about our God. He is OUR GOD. Truly, He is! This One Who is so powerful and majestic, mighty and gentle, merciful and compassionate, has an intense desire to be our Bridegroom, and for US to be HIS BRIDE. Haleluyah!
Anyway, so there's my jot for today. I hope y'all are blessed, and of course, that you read Job 37 (all of it!), because it truly is INCREDIBLE! I'll copy it below just in case you don't have a Bible handy. :)
Blessings,
Sophie

Job 37 -- Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
37 “At this, my own heart trembles
and leaps out of its place.
2 Just listen to the rumbling of his voice,
to the thunder that comes from his mouth!
3 He sends it out under all of heaven,
his lightning to the ends of the earth.
4 There follows a sound, a roar —
he is thundering with his majestic voice,
and he keeps releasing [the lightning]
even while his voice is being heard.
and leaps out of its place.
5 “God thunders wonderfully with his voice,
he does great things beyond our understanding.
6 He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth!’ —
likewise to the light rain, also to the downpour.
7 He brings all human activity to a stop,
so that everyone he has made can know it.
8 Then the animals go into their lairs
and hibernate in their dens.
he does great things beyond our understanding.
6 He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth!’ —
likewise to the light rain, also to the downpour.
7 He brings all human activity to a stop,
so that everyone he has made can know it.
8 Then the animals go into their lairs
and hibernate in their dens.
9 “Out of its chamber comes the storm,
with cold out of the north.
10 By the breath of God, ice is given,
and the wide waters freeze over.
11 He weighs the clouds down with moisture,
and they flash forth his lightning.
12 He, by his plans, turns them around,
so they do what he commands them anywhere on earth;
13 he brings them forth on the earth
sometimes to punish, sometimes to express his grace.
with cold out of the north.
10 By the breath of God, ice is given,
and the wide waters freeze over.
11 He weighs the clouds down with moisture,

12 He, by his plans, turns them around,

13 he brings them forth on the earth

14 “Listen to this, Iyov!
Stop, and consider God’s wonders.
15 Do you know how God puts them in place,
how he causes lightning to flash from his cloud?
16 Do you know how he balances the clouds?
These are marvels of him who knows everything!
Stop, and consider God’s wonders.
15 Do you know how God puts them in place,
how he causes lightning to flash from his cloud?
16 Do you know how he balances the clouds?
These are marvels of him who knows everything!
17 “You, sweltering in your clothing
as the earth lies still under a sultry south wind,
18 can you, with him, spread out the sky,
hard as a cast metal mirror?
19 Teach us what we should tell him,
for the darkness keeps us from organizing our case.
20 Is he to be told that I will speak?
Can a man speak at all when he is already swallowed up?
21 Now people don’t see the light,
which is bright in the sky;
but then the wind blows
and clears [the clouds] away.
22 Out of the north comes a golden glow,
fearsome majesty surrounding God.
23 Shaddai, whom we cannot find,
whose power is immense,
in his great righteousness
does not pervert justice.
24 This is why people fear him;
he does not consider those
who think of themselves as wise.”

One Glory at a Time
From my experience, whenever I read other people's blogs it makes me feel inadequate in some way. Like they have it all figured out, and I'm never going to reach that far. Not a lovely feeling. I want all my readers to know that we are not a perfect family. We have struggles, and are pushing through them like every one else. However, it is important for us all to realize that even though NO ONE is perfect except for Yahweh, that is no excuse to just 'give up' or go on with your lives without exploring the next chapter.
I have an absolutely terrible habit of NOT finishing the books I read. I read all the way until the last few chapters, and then stop because I'm bored. However, whenever I come back to the book, I've noticed that I almost always stop right before the best parts. Same way with life. If we stop right in the middle of our calling, without fulfilling it all, then we're going to miss the very best of what Yahweh has planned for us. It is imperative that we are constantly striving in our mental, spiritual, and physical relationship with the Father. If we don't do that, we could very well end up wasting the best part of our lives. Our lives don't stop when we make that one amazing discovery, or when we do the one great thing. Our purpose as mankind is to praise God in everything we do, for ever millisecond of our lives by going from glory to glory to glory. It truly never ends.
Don't be overwhelmed, but rather, be excited. Yahweh has a plan for each and every one of our lives (Jer. 29:11). If we trust Him through it all, then without a doubt we will succeed not by our own strength, but by the strength of Messiah who is in us. One glory at a time.
However, back to my first point, this does not mean that we will never make mistakes. This is where grace plays in. Grace is there to show mercy and compassion when we do mess up, and repent for it afterwards. Without grace, we'd be pretty hopeless. So remember, while you're striving to step into the next glory and you make a mistake, repent, and know that God forgives you. And last but not least, remember that He wants you to forgive yourself.
Shalom and blessings,
Sophie

"It is through his Son that we have redemption — that is, our sins have been forgiven." Colossians 1:14
"Therefore, brothers, let it be known to you that through this man is proclaimed forgiveness of sins!" Acts 13:38Well, on that note, I should probably sign off. I have a very non-perfect fridge calling my name, desperate to be cleaned out. I hope this has been a blessing to you all. Remember, take life one glory at a time.

Wordless Wednesday
Reading some of our older posts, I realized that deep down inside, I kind of miss the way we used to do things... ;) Anyway, long story short, I decided that every now-and-again I'm going to do things the old way... :) Tada! Needless to say, that's what this is.
No more words... Wordless Wednesday coming up!
Shalom to you all,
Sophie

Being Thankful: "Life Experiences"
Found another 'lost post!' Anyway... Here it is. :)
I 'm going to list 10 life experiences I am thankful for. Keep in mind that they are neither the top ten, nor are they in order :).
Shalom,
Sophie
I 'm going to list 10 life experiences I am thankful for. Keep in mind that they are neither the top ten, nor are they in order :).
- I am thankful for my family moving back here to town
- I am thankful for excepting Yeshua as my Savior and God.
- I am thankful for my sweet, sweet nephews and niece.
- I am thankful for the experience of leaving our previous church. Even though it was hard, and we went through a lot of hard things, in the long run we met a lot of new people, and are now part of an amazing fellowship.
- I am thankful for homeschooling. It makes school so much more peaceful, and I have an awesome relationship with my teacher (MOM) ;)
- I am thankful for long walks in nature and the cool breeze.
- I'm thankful for the opportunity to learn how to farm. Awesome!
- I am thankful for game nights and Torah studies with my family and friends.
- I am thankful for springtime, when we can garden and breathe the fresh air.
- I'm thankful for experiencing Thanksgiving Day. I love cooking the meal, watching the parade, and feasting on the wonderful feast Yeshua provided us skill wise, and food wise. YUMMY!!!!!
Shalom,
Sophie

The blessing of being a woman: Thanksgiving
Hello everybody!
So... I found this post deep in the files of my forgotten, unpublished posts... All us bloggers have them. It was supposed to be for a thanksgiving challenge which I never got to... but I wanted to post it anyway! Keep in mind that they're not in order. I'm just writing down things as I think of them. - I am called to be hospitable, to meet other people's needs, whether they be physical, mental, or spiritual.
- If it's Yeshua's will, I'll bring forth my own kiddos someday, tending scrapes and bruises, making little ones giggle, brushing and smoothing hair, and much, much more.
- Even though my earthly father past away, I possess a special covering from my heavenly Father.
- I can paint my toenails and fingernails and put my hair up pretty ;).
- I will be able to be my husband's helpmeet someday.
- I have a special touch to wash and clean, making everything sparkle!
- That I can dance and sing. (Though men can do this too, I'm still thankful for it!)
- Yeshua has given me the gift of self worth.
- I get to be extra girly with my sisters!
- My mom gets to teach me the values of womanhood.
"Who does find a capable wife? For she is worth far more than rubies. The heart of her husband shall trust her, And he has no lack of gain. She shall do him good, and not evil, All the days of her life. She shall seek wool and flax, and with delight she works with her hands. She shall be as the ships of Tarshish, She brings in her food from afar. She also rises while it is still night, And provides food for her household. And what is lawfull for her girls. She shall consider a field and buy it; From her profits she shall plant a vineyard. She shall gird herself with strength, And strengthen her arms. She shall taste when her gain is good; Her lamp does no go out by night. She shall stretch out her hands to the distaff, And her hand shall hold the spindle. She shall extend her hand to the poor, and she shall reach out her arms to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household is dressed in scarlet. She shall make tapestry for herself; She is dressed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land. She shall make fine linen and sell them, And shall give girdles for the merchants. Strength and splendor are her garments, And she rejoices in time to come. She shall open her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the Torah of loving-commitment. She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. her children shall rise up and call her blessed; her husband too, and he praises her: "Many daughters have done nobly, But you have risen over them all." Loveliness is deceptive And prettiness is vain, A woman who fear Yahweh sito be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates. What are y'all thankful for in regards to womanhood?
Shalom everybody!
