One Glory at a Time

From my experience, whenever I read other people's blogs it makes me feel inadequate in some way.  Like they have it all figured out, and I'm never going to reach that far.  Not a lovely feeling.  I want all my readers to know that we are not a perfect family.  We have struggles, and are pushing through them like every one else.  However, it is important for us all to realize that even though NO ONE is perfect except for Yahweh, that is no excuse to just 'give up' or go on with your lives without exploring the next chapter.

I have an absolutely terrible habit of NOT finishing the books I read.  I read all the way until the last few chapters, and then stop because I'm bored.  However, whenever I come back to the book, I've noticed that I almost always stop right before the best parts.  Same way with life.  If we stop right in the middle of our calling, without fulfilling it all, then we're going to miss the very best of what Yahweh has planned for us.  It is imperative that we are constantly striving in our mental, spiritual, and physical relationship with the Father.  If we don't do that, we could very well end up wasting the best part of our lives. Our lives don't stop when we make that one amazing discovery, or when we do the one great thing.  Our purpose as mankind is to praise God in everything we do, for ever millisecond of our lives by going from glory to glory to glory.  It truly never ends.
"So all of us, with faces unveiled, see as in a mirror the glory of the Lord; and we are being changed into his very image, from one degree of glory to the next, by Adonai the Spirit."                                                                                 2 Corinthians 3:18

Don't be overwhelmed, but rather, be excited.  Yahweh has a plan for each and every one of our lives (Jer. 29:11).  If we trust Him through it all, then without a doubt we will succeed not by our own strength, but by the strength of Messiah who is in us.  One glory at a time.

However, back to my first point, this does not mean that we will never make mistakes.  This is where grace plays in.  Grace is there to show mercy and compassion when we do mess up, and repent for it afterwards.  Without grace, we'd be pretty hopeless.  So remember, while you're striving to step into the next glory and you make a mistake, repent, and know that God forgives you.  And last but not least, remember that He wants you to forgive yourself.
"It is through his Son that we have redemption — that is, our sins have been forgiven."                                                                                  Colossians 1:14
"Therefore, brothers, let it be known to you that through this man is proclaimed forgiveness of sins!"                                                                           Acts 13:38
Well, on that note, I should probably sign off.  I have a very non-perfect fridge calling my name, desperate to be cleaned out.  I hope this has been a blessing to you all.  Remember, take life one glory at a time.

Shalom and blessings,
Sophie
