I just recently finished a book called 'Do Hard Things' by Alex and Brett Harris. Do Hard Things is written by two 19 year old's who decided to rebel against low expectations.Now-a-days, most EVERYONE thinks that its 'natural' for teens to refuse responsibility, be disrespectful, and rebel. That revelation is sad. If you look throughout the Bible and throughout history, you have proof that we not only CAN do 'hard' things, we were CREATED to do hard things.
These teens (15 at the time) realized this, and decided to do something (hard) about it. They started what they like to call 'the rebelution.' Not only did they create the most popular teen blog of this kind in America (and other countries), they ran a political campaign, toured all over the world, and are continuing to be successful in their mission to encourage teens to embrace their calling... now.
This book shares not just their testimonies, buy many others. It is a VERY encouraging read, and I would highly recommend you reading it. Its an enjoyable, entertaining, and most definitely encouraging read.
Here's a quote from their book:
Most people don't expect you to understand what we're going to tell you in this book.
And even if you understand, they don't expect you to care.
And even if you care, they don't expect you to do anything about it.
And even if you do something about it they don't expect it to last.
WE DO.
Shalom,
Sophie
