Sometimes, our family can be in a huge hurry in the early mornings, when we first wake up. We are rushing around, here and there, for many reasons: Trying to find clean clothes to wear, getting our chores done, eating breakfast before piano lessons, making it to the school room on time, walking the dog, and so forth. During this process, we sometimes forget why Yahweh put us on this earth.
"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the esteem of Elohim."
1 Corinthians 10:31If things are too busy, and our minds are full, or even when we are tired, we can forget about this wonderful verse that Yeshua has given us. So we must strive to focus and remember Yeshua's word, and meditate on it day and night (Psalm 1). While we meditate on this verse, we notice it clearly says, "everything." This includes modesty of dress, modesty of our actions, modesty of our physical body, modesty of spirit, modesty of our mind and heart, and modesty in place of pride. We all struggle with these. It is impossible not to. But, we are to strive to do such things with Yeshua our Messiah, our Savior, pushing us forward.
Modesty of our actions: This one can be tricky. It is hard to put this one through your head, truly grasp it, and then put it to action. Modesty of action is VERY important. This can range from how we react to winning games, to seductive looks to other people. Sometimes, though we may not realize it, we are being immodest in our behavior. So, we need to monitor ourselves constantly, to be sure that we are not being immodest with all our actions. Our mom once told us, "There are two sides, separated by a line. You can either be on the modest side, or the immodest side. When you begin acting immodest, even just the slightest bit, you are putting the front of your toe over the line. Pretty soon, if you don't check your spirit and your motives, your whole foot, and then your whole body will be over that line, onto the other side." This helped us greatly. Here is an example...when you win a game, it is okay to be excited about winning, but modesty congratulates your opponents and doesn't take excitement to the point where you're bragging. This diminishes other people's confidence, and is the beginning to a prideful you.
"Yahweh, you establish peace for us, all that we have accomplished, you have done for us."
Isaiah 26:12Modesty of our physical body falls under actions, and dress. Maybe it is too tight of clothes, or showing too much skin. Physical appearance is an important subject regarding modesty. It takes part in a little bit of everything. How we are on the outside reflects what is going on, on the inside. Everyone should be confident with themselves, and in their physical appearance. As long as we have the attitude of humility and remembering we are representing Him. We can look to Yeshua's word for instruction, so that we may become humble.
"Humble thyself in the sight of the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."
James 4:10"Modesty of spirit" has everything to do with being humble. When you are immodest of spirit, you begin to develop the attitude, "too cool for school," or in this case, "my way, no Yahweh." Another example of being vain. Yahweh wants us to be His servants, to follow his example. When Yeshua came to earth, He, the King of Kings, washed men's feet. Our mom pointed out to us previously, "Back then, when they mostly wore leather sandals, the streets in the city probably had lots of cattle dung, and mud, so their feet would get very dirty. It was a lowly job and washing
people's feet would be gross, and humbling, for sure." We must follow Yeshua's example, and be willing to do the hard and yucky services. To step out of our comfort zone and serve with our heart.
Modesty in mind and heart. ALL modesty and modesty issues begin with a persons thoughts. Everything is connected to your thoughts. When you say something, your brain thought to say it. The first step to being modest on the inside, is allowing Yeshua to change your heart and trusting him to help you gain control of your thoughts. An example would be, when we make a commitment to that one special person Yeshua has ordained for us to marry, we give them our heart. Being modest with our heart, is making sure that we are saving it for that one special person, and making no exception's, whatsoever.
Modesty of dress can show what you believe, and redirects people's thoughts to better things. Modesty of dress is about setting the example. It is about knowing you are a special treasure with self worth. I recently saw something that said this: "Modesty isn't about covering our bodies because their bad, it's about reveling our dignity." Think on that. :)
Here are some really cute modest outfits made for comfort and confidence.
SOPHIA'S SOPHISTICATED STYLE

We were visiting for the weekend.
These outfits are comfortable, beautiful, and VERY easy to travel in.
Nice and cool.

While we were at our grandma's, we all went miniature golfing.
Here is Hannah.
I just happen to really like this outfit. Very beautiful and feminine.
Here is me golfing. I was just learning (I'm not the best golfer).
And here is my beautiful grandma. I love her outfit. Simple, yet lovely.
She was modestly beating the socks off of us.
She is a FANTASTIC golfer. We all had fun though.
Scoreboard (who won and who lost):
1st Grandma
2nd Mama
3rd Hannah
4th Sophia
It was actually ironic. It went from oldest to youngest.
Wisdom comes with age I guess. In all forms too.
And here is this modestly small frog, the size of my thumbnail.
We found him by the river while we were gathering river rock.
Don't worry, we put him back by the river bed.
Ta ta for now! I hope you enjoyed our post!
Hannah & Sophia
