Winter Memories

One of my favorite things to do in winter is building snowmen. There is nothing like
going out in the freezing cold and stacking giant snowballs on top of each other! This year I was especially exited because my two sweet nephews would be here to join us. We built it in a park (because there wasn't enough snow in our yard) and had so much fun! Here are some pictures of our snowman.

The snow was just perfect for packing together, so we were able to make a pretty big snowman.
Big S (our nephew) had a blast pushing the snowballs around.

The hard part was stacking them. They were SO heavy! It took two off us just to lift it's head!

After a quick search for the perfect pair of sticks, we added the finishing touches to our happy snowman.
We used limes for eyes, dried apples for buttons, a beaded string for the mouth, and (of course) a carrot for the nose. The buttons didn't last long though...

...Our nephew decided they worked better as a snack.
Yep. Building snowmen is my favorite part of winter.

Our family has many winter traditions like building snowmen, watching winter movies and drinking lots of hot cocoa!

  1. Oh my goodness! Shayne looks so big in the more recent pictures I've seen of him. He's so cute, and I can't wait to see him again.
